40 Years of Innovation
Fastbind is celebrating its 40th anniversary. The company started in 1978, in Helsinki, Finland, as a family owned company focusing on high-quality binding for the short to medium run market. Fastbind binding machines were designed for digital printing environment from the start. Fastbind was also pioneering the first case makers in the turn of the millennium.
Fastbind's ground breaking FotoMount system for photobooks was first displayed in 2007 at Graph Expo in Chicago,At DRUPA 2008, Fastbind machines were featured in the booths of Xerox, Fuji and Kodak among others – eloquent testimony to their industry-wide compatibility and appeal.
Fastbind PUREVA XT, launched in 2014 is still the only tabletop solution that allows the user to switch between PUR and EVA glue in a few seconds depending on the task at hand. And, as with all Fastbind perfect binders, you can go from one format to another, from soft to hard covers with no adjustments.
2018 we are once again launching new innovations.
Fastbind focus will remain on producing world-class machines to bind high quality documents, in soft, hard or semi-rigid covers, from smaller than A7 to bigger than A3. These machines will be designed for short run and on-demand needs, with a focus on supporting paper stocks from standard to whatever specialty materials are to come.
